First Vuelta presser. Enigmatic Bjarne doing his thing.
Team presentation. Boy and his bike. As it should be.
Wearing an ice-vest in the inferno that was Pamplona.
Timetrial of the bulls. Must have had a red flag waving before his eyes, Alberto. He pulled the whole team to a really good time.
Aaand the first attacks!
Alas, boy can't sprint.
Pah, no bonification (Autocorrect says this is not a word. Huh?) seconds for you sir.
Loving the attention of the crowd.
Miiiis chicoooos! The Armada: Alberto, Joaquin, Alejandro. Podium of the Vuelta Espana 2012, in whichever order.
No, Alberto. Even after being suspended, you still can't pout. But props to you for trying.
Imanol Erviti after the stage 4 crash. Gracias Sky.
Alberto doing lead-out for Nick Roche. Porque no, we need his points.
You know Alberto is having an off day when he makes his team drill it early.
When the going got to an uphill sprint again, cramps happened.
Another day, another swarm of press and fans.
Oooh, look who surfaced!
All is well with the world when Bjarne smiles like that. :D :D :D
And is there to inspect that everything is perfect.
Lonely in a crowd of people, Alberto?
Boy can't sprint 2.0
Nevermind, people still love him.
Cute little Spaniards are cute.
Zzzz on the transfer plane.
And some artsy pictures on the hotel balcony. :D
Rest day presser was a relaxed affair.
At the start of stage 10, Spanish swimmer Erika Villaecija paid the peloton a visit.
But the highlight of the stage for me are JJ Rojas and his dimples keeping Alberto safe in the pack all day. Hehehe...
And the ITT climbing machine kicking into gear. Beating the Sky cyborgs. Putting himself just a tiny second off the lead.
We've had the Vuelta a Purito Rodriguez up until now. But Saturday, on the Asturian climbs, Alberto's Vuelta begins. Vamos!
